I’m Natalie Suleyman, your State Member for St Albans.

Doing what matters.

I’m a lifelong Westie, and it’s my privilege to represent our vibrant community as your Member of Parliament, and across Victoria as your Minister for Veterans, Youth, and Small Business.

As the daughter of Turkish Cypriot migrants, my parents taught me that when we rally behind working families, the dreamers, the fighters, and the underrepresented - we can achieve the impossible.

These values drive me to build stronger support systems for Victoria’s youth, deliver much needed resources for our veterans, and foster an economic landscape where our small businesses flourish. I aim to be a champion for our underdogs and give a voice to the everyday heroes who struggle to be heard.

Together, we’ve already accomplished so much for St Albans and the wider Western suburbs:

  • Delivered Victoria’s first level crossing removal on Main Road, and since removed dangerous level crossings at Furlong Road in St Albans and Fitzgerald Road is Ardeer.

  • Expanded the emergency department at Sunshine Hospital, ensuring faster, better healthcare for those in need.

  • Secured $17.2 million to boost Victoria University’s Sunshine campus, launching the Skills and Innovation Hub, opening doors to education and opportunity for all.

  • St Albans is home to Australia’s first state-of-the-art CISCO Cyber Security Training Centre, empowering workers with cutting-edge skills for the future.

  • We led the way in building the Joan Kirner Hospital, bringing the first neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to the West, giving our babies the best possible start in life.

  • As a passionate Western Bulldogs fan, I’m proud to have upgraded and widened the EJ Whitten Bridge, improving transport and connections for our community.

But our work doesn’t stop here. I remain committed to prioritizing the issues that matter most to you: reliable transport, quality education, rewarding jobs, accessible healthcare, and easing the cost of living.

Let’s stand together, work together, and make sure that every voice, every dream, and every effort counts. Together, we can build a brighter future – for St Albans, for Victoria, and for generations to come.

Sincerely,

Natalie
